We are so lucky to have such amazing gardens here at ANLC and the Chef in the Garden program is one of the coolest things that our kids get to participate in while at school. If you have not been to a Chef in the Garden before, consider making time to check it out this year.
Our neighborhood chefs have banded together to support ANLC’s Culinary Arts Chef in the Garden Program. As part of our organic gardening curriculum, local chefs share their expertise in creating healthy eating and promote a deeper understanding of the garden to table process. We are thankful to have such prestigious chefs share not only their expertise but provided some of the food for this program as well. Last year we were fortunate to hold ten separate cooking experiences with various groups within our community of 520 K-8 students. -Charlene Badman from FnB Restaurant -Chris Mendoza from Flowerchild -Vincent Gerithault from Vincent’s Restaurant -Jason and Claudio from Noble Bread -Peyton from Taco House -Massino from Cool Gelato |
