Box Tops--We are collecting Box tops this year and have a goal to get $1,500 worth. They are worth 10 cents each. You can find Box Tops on many household products such as Ziploc bags, Hefty bags, Motts products, Betty Crocker, General Mills goods and more. Check out the website for a full list of participating products www.boxtops4education.com. Simply drop them off either individually or bagged in groups of 50 in the marked bins in the front office or library. We do ask that the box tops are not glued, stapled or taped to any paper. Just clip and drop off. Please ask family members, neighbors, friends and others to help in your collection.
Labels for Education--We will be collecting Labels for Education in the front office and library in the marked bins. Just clip and drop off. Please do not adhere them to any paper. ANLC will earn points based on the amount of Labels collected. In the past we have used these points to purchase tether balls, softball bases, and art supplies. You can find Labels for Education on Campbells soup products, Pepperidge Farm, Prego and more. Check out the website for a full list of products www.labelsforeducation.com
Phoenix Fibers/Textile Recycling--Any old linens or clothes you may have? Holey socks, stained Tee's or beat up shoes? Damaged towels, sheets, curtains, table clothes and shoes are welcomed. Please bag and drop off in the blue recycling bin in the South East corner of the parking lot. ANLC will earn a % of money based upon the pounds collected. All linens must be free of contaminates ie; solvents, paints, and varnish. Phoenix Fibers is a Chandler based company that does not resell the textiles collected. Instead they recycle them for other uses such as mattresses and insulation. Please check out the website for further information on their recycling efforts www.phxfibers.com
The Arizona Tax Credit Program is so easy, so important, and doesn't cost you a dime! Really!
What is the Arizona Tax Credit Program?
When you make a contribution to the Hopi Tax Credit Fund, you then get to claim the amount on your state income tax return as a credit. This means that if you contribute $400 (the maximum amount allowed for married couples filing jointly - the max is $200 for single filers) you then claim that amount on your Arizona tax return and you will either get that $400 back with your tax refund OR you will have your state tax bill reduced by $400 dollars (depending on whether the State owes you money or you owe the State!. Dollar for dollar. It really doesn't cost you a dime. It's your way of telling the state where you want your tax dollars spent! It is really that easy.
If you still have questions, please check out this video:
